My staff savingram No. 453 dated 28th September, 1949: Vacancies for Legal Officers.
In the vacancy form attached to my savingram under reference, the vacancy was correctly shown as Legal Officer, but in the savingram it was described as Crown Counsel.

The duties of the post are in fact some what wider than the normal duties of a Crown Counsel and I should be grateful if both the vacancies caused by Mr. Gould's promotion and Mr. Maingard's retirement could be filled by the appointment of Legal Officers.
